Last week we had the pleasure of hosting our buddies over at Chronicle Books and McEvoy Media. We’ve been working on a project with Chronicle Books (more info to come later) and thought it would be a blast to have them over at our SF SoMa Flagship store and headquarters.

It was a cupcake and booze filled day, above is a pic of the yummy Cups and Cakes mini cupcakes we had. The Chronicle Books crew also picked up some great GAMAGO gear and tees.

We’re happy to have met all the Chronicle Books/McEvoy Media peeps that made it over and can’t wait to host them again.

Last week we parted ways with our awesome Yeti window display. Above is the lucky winner, Evan, who assured us that the Yeti was getting a new loving home.

We just wrapped up our Win a Life Size Yeti Contest and we were trying to figure out what to do with the awesome vintage Bingo ball spinner we used. A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of hosting a Twitter Day for our Twitter neighbors. The day included a special Twitter employee-only discount and yummy cupcakes from Pinkie’s Bakery. Above is a pic of some Twitter peeps that stopped by.

Cupcakes! Sometimes we feel we’re a little too close to Pinkie’s Bakery, their baked goods are often too good to pass up.

We like shaking things up here at GAMAGO, and by things we mean seasonings. That’s how one of our latest editions to the GAMAGO collection, the Snowglobe Salt and Pepper Shakers, came to being. We put a lot of brainstorming and design behind our products and decided it would be cool to share a little of this process.

The Snowglobe Salt and Pepper Shakers is the brainchild of our GAMAGO designers Jackson and Wednesday. During one of their coffee design powwows, the idea for a snowglobe salt shaker came about. They knew they had a great concept, the tricky part was figuring out how to make the snowglobe salt and pepper shakers awesome year round household items rather than seasonal ones. That’s when we decided that two bears, a polar bear for salt and black bear for pepper, fit the bill.

Once we perfected the concept, we had to figure out how to make a functional snowglobe shaker with seasonings that could be easily added. We studied actual snowglobe designs and came up with a globe that could be unscrewed to add in seasonings. Above are the designs and the prototype for the bears.

After a few months of testing and manufacturing we had a neat set of Snowglobe Salt and Pepper Shakers. Above are the Snowglobe Salt and Pepper in action. When we’re not thinking of awesome new gift or tee designs, we like to have a little GAMAGO fun. Last week we found ourselves at Mission Bay’s latest edition Lucky Strike bowling alley. Sporting fancy new bowling shoes and drinks in hand we were ready to get our bowl on. Above is Sales Director Kent staring down those pins.

That’s a lot of balls! We had a little bowling ball fiasco at the start of the game, luckily the Lucky Strike staff was quick to give us a hand.

The Ninja Kitty Crew cheering on their team, after two heated games the Ninja Kitty Crew was victorious 2-0.

If you hadn’t made it to Lucky Strike yet, round up a group of friends and head down to 200 King St. across from AT& T Park.

If you’ve been by our SF flagship store in the past few months you’ve probably noticed the awesome Yeti Shark Punch installation in our window. Unfortunately for Yeti, we had to move him out the window for a new spring arrangement.

The good news is now one lucky GAMAGO fan can win this one-of-a-kind massive installation piece. All you have to do is enter our drawing in person at our SoMa store. The winner will also be responsible for the transportation of Yeti to his new home. For all you interested, please keep in mind that this a very large window installation, approximately 8 ft by 5 ft, made of durable foam core. It’s also UV resistant and should last a few years.
